TBD projects

Treasure Box projects:  I've been making cards in my SCAL program with the Tiny Treasures.  It's so fun!

Aren't they cute??  I love how they turned out.  I'll probably plop them into my ebay store (10inkyfingers)
I also made a title for a scrapbook page.  I used my own fonts and Dina's cute files!
That's it for today, thanks for looking!  Lara

I had some FUN with Treasure Box's leaves patterns.  I used an older file called Fall Collection, but Dina has a few files with leaves in them that will work perfect!   I was inspired by a tutorial I saw by Tammy Tutterow.    I cut the leaves out on my Cameo, then stamped them all with French Script by Stampin' Up in black.  Most of the leaves I cut in white and stamped, I then sprayed them with color mist, heat dried them and then inked the edges.   I covered them with clear embossing powder for a nice shiny texture!   The brown and green leaf I covered with Stampin Up crystal effects.  I also added some micro beads to the brown leaf while the glaze was wet.

Give it a try and have fun!  Make sure to post what you make on the fan website.  Oh, and while I had a big puddle of color from the spray on my craft mat, I mopped it up with seam binding so I would have some matching ribbon!  Super fun!!  The photo doesn't do these justice... it was hard to get the shiny texture in the photo.    ~Lara

Maya Road projects

Posting a couple of Maya Road projects that I put together.  I LOVE their products!!!!  I'm hoping the new Maya Road spring warehouse box is going to be a birthday gift for me on Sunday!  It was the ONLY thing I told my hubby to get me, so I'm thinking I'm golden...

The first is a large bottle cap that I alterered.   I previously posted this with a Treasure Box design piecing on it, I remade it with all Maya Road products.  It has a magnet on the back and we keep it on the fridge.  The cute puppy is our Taylor Chip that passed away last year.  I added some ink to the edges of the bottle cap to give it a slightly antiqued look.  The bingo piece was plain, so I painted it with brown then added the sugar glitter.  And I love those keys so much I bought 3 packages!  Then I won't hoard them and I'll actually use them... HA, we'll see how that goes.

I know right!  She was the cutest and bested dog in the world.   I love the little chipboard bird, I painted it with Maya Road ink, sponged the edges in brown and added sugar glitter.

I also made a hanging chipboard shape.  The flower was from a Maya Road chipboard album.  I covered it with Tim Holtz paper then added my Maya Road goodies.  I sponged some brown on the flower so it looked a little "aged".  (like me, baha)  I painted the chipboard pieces and added... you guessed it sugar glitter!  I love that stuff.  It's like magic fairy cuteness dust!  I added in some Maya Road flower trim (trying not to hoard that stuff too since I love it so much!)  I might make a wreath to hang this on, not sure yet!

Cute right?  I know!  I sponged the ticket too.... my fingers were totally ink covered when I finshed these projects.

Last up I'm sharing my printers tray.  Can you spot the Maya Road goodies on it???   All of the flowers were handmade by me (some out of coffee filters).   The wood pieces were painted and distressed, there are some die cuts, and rolled rosettes.  All Tim Holtz paper and tissue tape, plus some of his trinkets.   There are some antiques in here (one including my grandfathers tie pin that he wore to work at Gerber every day), the photo is of my grandmother.  I LOVE how this turned out.  I can't wait to make another one in a different "style".

Sorry the photo isn't the best, it's STILL gloomy in Michigan!  GRRRRR.

Have a fabulous and hopefully crafty day!
